Midnight

Lola Stevens sang three songs at the Meridian Room and asked to be paid. The owner sent her out the back instead, into the rain and a spill of chemical waste just as lightning struck. Lola Stevens is gone. Now she has strength, flight and a storm in her hands, and she has a tab to collect. The trail leads past a street level drug deal to the man who really runs the club: Kane, under the hotel.
